Told a bride no to washing her hair the morning of, and her updo in Savannah held 14 hours
Every stylist in my chair rotation knows the drill: bride shows up with clean, slippery hair and the updo slides apart by the first dance. I started refusing morning-of washes and instead do a dry shampoo paste at the roots the night before with a cheap volumizing powder, then set everything with a fine mist of hairspray before I even pick up a pin. Did it for a wedding at the Mansion on Forsyth Park last month and she walked out at 11pm with the same shape I built at 9am. Anyone else doing prep the night before, or do you just load up on product day-of and hope?
