Wasted $50 on a writing prompt app that just gave me awful ideas

I bought this app last year that claimed to generate thousands of creative prompts but it kept spitting out stuff like 'a dog who learns to knit' or 'the alien who loves broccoli'. I should have just stuck with free online forums or a book, has anyone else tried one of these and actually got something usable?

Hate to break it to you but the app probably just scraped ideas from a kindergarten writing class. $50 bucks for prompts about a knitting dog sounds like you paid for a scam disguised as a subscription. I bet the alien who loves broccoli was the premium feature they charged extra for. Honestly you got more creative value typing random words into Google than that app probably ever gave you. Next time just throw $50 in the trash and ask a chat bot for writing ideas, it'll give you the same garbage for free.

Got any proof they actually tested it before charging people?
