A quiet week on the security front felt like a real win

For the first time in maybe two years, my home network logs showed zero blocked intrusion attempts over a full seven days. I run a basic Raspberry Pi with a network monitor, and it's usually a few alerts a day. This past week, nothing. I think it's because I finally got my whole family to stop reusing the same password everywhere after our last talk. Has anyone else seen a real drop in alerts after getting everyone on board with a password manager?

Honestly, that quiet week is great, but it's more likely your IP just got rotated.

Yeah, that's how it goes now. My streaming service suddenly works in another country, or a website stops asking for a security check. It's never some quiet victory, just the background systems shuffling you around without a word. You don't get peace, you just get a new temporary number. It feels like you never really own your spot online anymore.

Ugh, tell me about it. Feels like we're all just renting a chair at the internet's weirdest coffee shop and they keep moving our tables. Emery's probably right about the IP thing, which just makes it worse. Honestly, the only thing I truly own online anymore is my weird search history. They can shuffle my location all they want, but they'll never take my embarrassing 3am questions.
