Hot take: that 'Microsoft support' call my dad got last Tuesday was the most convincing scam I've heard yet
The guy spoofed the real Redmond number and stayed on the line with my 71 year old dad in Tacoma for 90 minutes walking him through 'virus removal' until he asked for $499 in gift cards, so now I'm wondering what script or tool these crews are using because it fooled me for the first ten minutes too.
