Shop owner wants me to skip overhead tests on old heads, I keep pushing back
Had a talk with my boss in Tulsa last week, he says on high mile engines the 500 hour overhead is just wasted labor and parts, customers won't pay for it anyway. I say that's how you end up with a dropped valve at 80k miles, but he's been turning wrenches since before I was born. Anyone else caught between doing it right and keeping the door open?
