I used to think those fancy paint edging tools were a total gimmick
My friend in Austin swore by this specific one called the Shur-Line, so I finally tried it on my kitchen trim last month. I was ready for a mess, but it gave me a perfect line on the first try, no tape needed. It saved me about two hours of careful brush work on just that one room. Has anyone else had a tool they doubted that actually worked this well?

Wait, you got a perfect line on the FIRST try? I don't believe it. I'd still be cleaning paint off the floor.

Honestly, a good painter's tape makes all the difference, right?

Come on, that's just beginner's luck. Those tools always slip or leave a gap, so you end up touching it up anyway. A steady hand and a good brush is still the only reliable method.
