Why does nobody talk about what happens when your plotter decides to eat a D-size sheet?
I was at a client's office in Tacoma last week, finishing a set of architectural elevations, when my HP T730 just stopped and crumpled the whole sheet into a wrinkled mess. I had to carefully reverse the feed, smooth it out by hand, and re-plot the whole thing, which took an extra 45 minutes. What's your go-to method for dealing with a paper jam on a wide-format machine without ruining the drawing?

Hold the paper tight on both sides while you hit the reverse feed button, that way it doesn't rip. Then smooth it out on a clean table and check for creases before feeding it back in. It's just like when your printer at home jams, nobody warns you that a small mistake can ruin a whole afternoon of work.

Man I feel this one, @jesser79. I've definitely turned a simple paper jam into a full-on cuss fest and then had to explain the shredded remains to my boss.

Is it always the small stuff that really gets to you though?
