Rant: Our average cycles per hour dropped after switching to a bigger discharge line
We swapped from a 10-inch to a 12-inch line last August on a project near Baton Rouge, and our cycles per hour went from 14 down to 9. The extra volume just gave us more settling in the pipe - anyone else run into this with upsizing?

Exactly the same thing happened to us on a job in Texas last year. We went from 10 to 12 inch and our cycles just tanked. What finally fixed it for us was adding a small bypass line at the low point with a manual valve. We cracked it open just enough to keep a little flow going through the pipe during the drain cycle. Took some trial and error to dial in the right amount of air but it brought our cycles back up to around 12 an hour after a month of tuning.

Man, we did the exact same thing a couple years back on a job down in Mobile. Went from 10 to 12 inch and our cycles dropped off a cliff too. Ended up having to add a little air injection at the low spots to keep stuff from settling so much, helped a ton.

Now why would you expect bigger pipe to cycle faster? That's just more volume to fill and drain.
