Vent: Wasted $800 on a custom bathroom vanity that didn't even fit
I ordered a custom vanity from a local shop in Edmonton last summer without checking the rough-in measurements myself. I assumed my contractor had it right, but the pipes were 2 inches off center and the vanity wouldn't slide in. Ended up having to pay another $300 to get the plumbing moved after it was already tiled. The shop wouldn't give me a refund either since it was custom made. Has anyone else run into this issue with pre-built vanities not matching Edmonton's older plumbing standards?

Feel your pain, that's a brutal and expensive lesson to learn on trust.

$20,000 down the drain for a deck that never got finished. I mean yeah it sucks but is it really that deep? People make mistakes and sometimes you just have to move on. Trust is great and all but at the end of the day it's money you can earn back. Plus you probably learned a lot about contracts and paperwork from this mess.
