Tried sewing with thrifted bedsheets instead of fabric store stuff

Picked up a queen size sheet for $3 at Goodwill and made a summer dress that actually has a better drape than the $15/yard cotton I usually buy. Anyone else have luck using random bed linens for clothes?

Man, I feel you on the bedsheet thing. I grabbed a flat sheet from a thrift store last month and it made this flowy top that looks way nicer than anything I've bought new.

Four dollars for a thrifted sheet that makes a shirt, that's just fabric with extra steps.
