My grandpa's spring cleaning involves whipping rugs in the yard
He says it gets out dirt better than any machine. I offered to help with a vacuum, but he told me I don't know what clean means.

Hold up, is this really that big of a deal? You heard one comment about cleaning and jumped straight to the whipping method? That seems like an over the top reaction. Like, my brother said my car was messy once and I just vacuumed it, no special tricks. Cleaning is just about getting stuff clean, not proving a point. Maybe he was just being rude and it's not worth all that effort.

Totally get it, @young.mia. My roommate made a comment about my bathroom sink once and I went full mad scientist with baking soda and vinegar for a week. Proved my point when her drain was the one that clogged next.
