Just realized how much recycled glass can replace mined sand.

Ngl, it's shocking how much we could save.

Think about all the bottles we throw away every day, like from parties or bars. Crushing them into sand could seriously cut down on mining and landfill space, which is huge for the environment. We just need better systems to collect and process the glass to make it work on a big scale.

What did you think about that art show made from crushed glass last year? I saw it at a fair where they used recycled bottle sand to make cool patterns on the ground. It ties into what @kevin_perez27 is saying about processing glass on a bigger scale. The artists said it was tough to get enough clean glass, but once they did, the result was awesome and got people talking. It makes me wonder if more fun uses could push for better recycling systems. Do you think art projects like that help make recycling more popular?

But is the savings really that huge? I mean, the whole process might not be worth it on a large scale.
