Appreciation post: Pegboard storage made my home salon so much easier

I used to keep all my hairdressing tools jumbled in a big toolbox. It got really annoying during appointments when I needed a specific clip or comb. So I picked up a basic pegboard from the hardware store for cheap. I attached it to the wall right behind my styling chair. Now I hang all my brushes, shears, and hot tools on it with hooks. I can grab what I need in seconds without digging around. My clients even say the setup looks professional. It's a small project that anyone with a home salon can do to stay organized.

My uncle's garage had twelve pegboards covering every wall and it still looked like a tornado hit it. The problem wasn't the storage, it was his refusal to put anything back. I finally get that a clean workbench with three basic tools can look more legit than a fancy wall covered in unused gear. Sometimes a ten cent cable tie used right feels more professional than a two hundred dollar laser level still in the box. It really is just about not having crap everywhere.
