Am I the only one who blew their cash on day one of a solo trip?

I landed in Lisbon with a set amount for the week and immediately splurged on a fancy dinner and souvenirs. By the next morning, I realized I barely had enough for a bus ticket to my hostel! Had to walk miles with my backpack in the heat, totally exhausted. Never making that spending mistake again!

Lisbon's hills are a nightmare with no bus money.

Yeah the no bus money struggle is real. I found going downhill first to tackle the steepest parts early helps. Those climbs back up are still brutal though.

Try saving some energy for the final climb back home. That last uphill feels way worse when you're already wiped out.
