Noticing a trend towards slower travel among solo explorers

On recent trips, I've met more people spending longer in one place. It seems to deepen the travel experience. Any tips for planning a slow solo journey?

Wait, you actually noticed the routine at a local coffee shop? That's wild to me because I'm usually just focused on getting my caffeine and moving to the next sight. Staying put long enough to catch those patterns is a whole different level of being there. How do you even switch your brain into that mode instead of feeling like you should be doing something?

Love seeing this shift happening. Honestly, staying in one spot for a week or two completely changed how I travel solo. You start noticing the small stuff, like a local coffee shop's routine, and you actually make real connections. My only tip is to plan way less for each day and pick a base with good day trip options so you don't feel stuck.

Slowing down like @skylerc22 did made my trips way better.
