My sister added her parrot to our family photo and my dad's upset. Your thoughts?

Does your dad really think a photo is more important than your sister wanting to include her pet? It's just a fun edit, not someone being painted out of the picture. He's taking a silly thing way too seriously. Family is about the people and the love, even if that love is for a bird. Maybe he just doesn't get that she was trying to share something that makes her happy.

My moral gray area with giving away books I haven't read

I kept only ten unread books on my shelf at any time. The rest went into a box for the little free library down my street. If I didn't pick one up after a few months, I knew it wasn't a priority. Giving them away felt like passing on a gift rather than admitting defeat. Now my shelves have space for books I truly want to read soon. Setting a simple number limit took the emotion out of the decision.

What worked was just committing to the absurdity and following the lead of the person next to me, even if it meant getting flour in my hair. Honestly, leaning into the chaos instead of resisting turned a confusing moment into my favorite trip story.
