Appreciation post: My kid's school art show made me rethink the whole AI thing

Last week, my daughter's elementary school had their spring art fair. I saw a painting she did of our dog, all messy and joyful. Then I saw a table where some older kids had printed out AI images they prompted, looking perfect but kind of empty. It hit me right there in the gym, the difference between the messy making and the clean typing. Has anyone else had a moment like that, where seeing the physical stuff changed your view?
