Finally understood why my AI art felt soulless after my kid asked 'where's the story, dad?'

I'd been generating hundreds of images for a month, chasing technical perfection, until my 8-year-old pointed at a weird, glitched-out castle I'd made and spun a whole tale about the lonely robot king who lived there, which made me realize I was just a button-pusher, not a storyteller. Anyone else have a moment that flipped their whole view on what 'creativity' even means with this stuff?
