My buddy swears his Midjourney dragon took him 40 hours, but I watched him type 6 prompts at a coffee shop in Denver
So last month we're sitting at this place on Colfax and he keeps going on about how much work went into his piece for a local gallery show. I sat there for maybe 20 minutes and he ran the same prompt 6 times, picked the third one, and called it done. When I asked him straight up if he counted that time as part of the 40 hours, he got weird and changed the subject. Is anyone else running into this where people pad the hours to make AI stuff sound like a real grind, or is it just the folks in my circle?
