Was convinced AI art couldn't do hands until I saw a study that said the latest models fail on hands only 15% of the time now

Found it buried in a research blog from MIT last month and it blew my mind considering how people still use bad hands as the main argument against AI art.

That "weird middle ground" part hits close to home. My buddy Mike tried generating a portrait of his dog for a holiday card and the AI gave the dog six fingers on one paw. He still laughs about it but it shows how even with a 15% failure rate you're rolling the dice on something that should be simple.

15% failure rate still feels high to me, considering how many perfect AI hands I've seen posted lately. Guess we're still in that weird middle ground where it works most of the time but not all.
