Can we talk about the scheduling AI at my depot that treats us like Tetris blocks
It optimizes for 8 hour routes but doesn't know Mrs. Kowalski's porch has 3 steps and takes 4 minutes, so now it's building routes no human can walk and a real person has to override it 40 times a shift, which makes me wonder if we're training it to replace us or just to manage us.
Yikes, 40 overrides a shift is not a tool, that's a second job. If the machine can't learn 3 steps and 4 minutes, it's not ready to route humans anywhere.
