Tried to use that AI resume screener on my own applications for a month and it rejected me 19 times
Honestly I run a small property management office in Columbus and we get about 300 apps a month, so I signed up for one of those AI screening tools on a free trial. Just to test it, I ran my own resume through it, the one that got me hired at my current job. It gave me a 34 out of 100 and auto rejected me. Then I fed it 40 resumes from people we actually hired and it flagged 11 of them as "high risk" with no real reason given. I emailed their support and the guy straight up said the model "weighs phrasing patterns" and that I shouldn't "take the score personally." So now I'm supposed to trust this thing to filter real people's rent applications and job apps? Has anyone else tested one of these screeners with stuff they already know the answer to?
