My AI art generator kept giving me three armed people until I changed one setting

I was making custom images for a client's website last Tuesday and every single person my tool generated had an extra arm. It looked creepy and I wasted about 2 hours trying different prompts. Finally I realized the "realistic human" filter was off in the advanced settings section. Has anyone else run into weird limb problems with these generators and found a quick fix?

My cousin tried generating a family portrait for their holiday card and one of the kids came out with three arms and a hand on their forehead. Pretty sure they just renamed the prompt to "surreal abstract art" and called it a day. I always double check the limb count setting now because apparently my default setting is "mutant family reunion." The extra arm issue seems to pop up when the generator gets confused about which body parts go where, especially if there's overlapping poses or weird angles in the reference.

I mean, I have a friend who specifically prompts for extra limbs because she says it makes her generated characters look more dynamic and interesting in motion shots. Maybe the three armed thing was actually a hidden feature doing you a favor if you lean into it.
