inMy game group in Portland fell apart after a 6-hour argument over a house rule
Has your group tried a hard reset where everyone takes a 15 minute break to cool off before trying to resolve things? @claire_walker is right, six hours of arguing over resource conversion means there were probably already some bad feelings bubbling under the surface. Best advice I've got is to write any disputed house rule on a scrap of paper, set a timer for 10 minutes to hash it out, and if you can't agree, just table it for another session. Leaving your player board behind is the real sign that the game is done for the night, just like mark361 said you gotta pause before anyone starts packing up.

inSerious question, does enterprise ABM actually work or is it just a buzzword?
Yeah "targeted spam" is pretty much how everything feels these days, from emails to real life ads.

inBroke down 40 chickens at the shop before I noticed the joint trick
Gotta say this whole thing runs way deeper than just chicken joints or fence posts. It's like we get so locked into our routines we forget there's probably a hundred people out there who've already figured out a smoother way. I see it all the time with friends who'll struggle with a phone setting for ten minutes when a quick search would have solved it in two seconds. Pride or stubbornness or just not wanting to look dumb, I guess. Makes you wonder how much time we all waste just because we never ask or watch how someone else does it.

inI used to skip cleaning saw dust off my climbing harness
Man, same here, the difference in smoothness is honestly night and day once you start doing it.

inSpent 6 months changing dryer belts the hard way before a customer showed me the trick
Hold on a sec, flipping the belt on the pulley isn't actually what fixes it most of the time. The real trick is loosening the tensioner all the way, not just flipping anything. I've seen people try that flip move and it just makes the belt slip worse because they didn't adjust the tension right after. Maybe it worked once for someone but it's not a standard fix, you know? I'd check the tension first before messing with the belt orientation. Does your machine have that little spring loaded arm on the side?
