My burr grinder decided to quit on me mid-brew yesterday
I was making my morning cup, the usual routine, and the motor just made this sad whining noise and stopped. It's a Baratza Encore I've had for about four years. The beans were stuck halfway through, and I had to take the whole thing apart with a screwdriver to get them out. I spent an hour cleaning every part, thinking it was just a jam, but no luck. The repair video online looks like a whole project, and I'm not sure I have the right tools. Had to use my old blade grinder as a backup, and the coffee tasted like bitter dust. Has anyone fixed one of these themselves, or is it time to just get a new one?
