Rant: I spent $60 on angled dishwasher racks and they broke in 2 weeks

I bought those clip-on angled racks that are supposed to help you fit more plates at an angle. Total waste of money. One snapped off after 3 washes and the other started rusting. I'm out $60 and back to just stacking stuff flat like normal. Has anyone actually had those things last more than a month?

Warning: Found out my telescope was giving me wrong data for 6 months

I was looking at a photo of Jupiter's moons and realized the positioning didn't match any prediction apps, then discovered my tracking mount had been set to southern hemisphere this whole time. Has anyone else ever had a calibration issue that made your photos look completely different from reality?

Found a stat about reused passwords that freaked me out

I was reading some report from a security firm called SpyCloud and they said 70% of people reuse passwords across accounts. That number seemed high but then I remembered I do it too for like 10 different sites. It got me thinking how easy it must be for hackers to just grab one login and try it everywhere. I checked my own stuff and found my email password was the same as my old gaming forum login from 2015. Have any of you actually counted how many times you reuse the same password?

I opened a "healthy" granola bar and it had MORE sugar than a candy bar

I was helping my sister pack lunches for her kids in Austin last Tuesday and grabbed a box that said "All Natural, No Added Sugar!" on the front. When I flipped it over, the 3rd ingredient was evaporated cane juice and there were 15 grams of sugar in one bar. For comparison, a Twix bar has 14 grams. How is that legal? Has anyone ever gotten a company to actually change their label after calling them out?

I used to think cancel culture was just for celebrities until my local bakery got called out

There's this little bakery on Main Street I've been going to for about 3 years. Last month someone posted on Nextdoor that the owner had made a racist comment to a customer back in 2019. Within a week, they lost half their business. I saw the before and after so clearly. Before, I'd wait in line for 10 minutes on a Saturday morning. After, I walked right up to the counter. I actually talked to the owner about it and she admitted she'd said something stupid and apologized to the person right away back then. It got me thinking. Is it fair to ruin someone's entire livelihood over one bad moment from years ago when they already made amends? Has anyone else seen this kind of local cancellation happen in their town?

Just saw a 'no sugar added' juice at the store that's basically candy water

I was at the grocery in Austin yesterday and grabbed a bottle of cranberry juice that said 'no sugar added' in big letters. The small print showed it had 36 grams of sugar per serving, all from 'concentrated fruit juice'. That's more sugar than a can of soda. They're using the natural sugar loophole to make it seem healthy. Has anyone found a juice brand that's actually honest about this?

I used to think those knee kickers with the plastic heads were junk

For years I stuck with my old metal head kicker, figured the plastic ones would break on the first tough stretch. Then a guy I work with in Tacoma let me borrow his Powerstretch model when my tool bag got stolen from my truck. I had a job with this really thick commercial berber, and the plastic head just grabbed it without tearing the backing. The stretch felt smoother, honestly. I've been using it for about two months now and haven't had a single issue, even on a glue-down job last week. It's lighter too, which helps after a full day. Anyone else make the switch and find the same thing, or did I just get lucky with this one?
