inCan we talk about the time a coolant hose blew on a Detroit 60 series in the middle of a Wyoming blizzard
Feel that cold Wyoming panic in my bones.

inPro tip: I was sure the 'room temp eggs' rule for cakes was just baking snobbery until my chocolate cake in Phoenix last summer finally didn't sink in the middle.
Honestly, is the room temp thing really that big a deal? I use cold eggs straight from the fridge all the time and my cakes turn out fine. Maybe it depends more on your recipe or how you mix it. I feel like people get too hung up on rules that just make baking seem harder.

inShoutout to the old timer who told me to always pull a ground with my data lines
My buddy had a server room in an old brick warehouse in Toledo. They ran all new fiber and copper but skipped the separate ground like kim963 mentioned. First big thunderstorm that rolled through fried three switches and a router. The insurance report pointed right to ground loops between buildings. He said the repair bill was more than double what the grounding wire would have cost for the whole job.

inWarning: saw a kitchen in Portland using a single cutting board for everything
Feel for you, that sounds incredibly frustrating to deal with.
