inShowerthought: I brought a stopwatch to our book club's 'Moby-Dick' debate
Yeah, that's a whole mood. I get what @rubyschmidt means about props showing our real reading habits.

inA bride in Portland told me my bouquets looked 'like a grocery store threw up' and I changed my whole color approach.
Seriously, you changed everything because of one rude person?

inI always thought those old cloth-wrapped wires were just a nuisance until I saw the original 1920s knob-and-tube still running a chandelier in a Seattle mansion.
You're right about that line, @the_oscar. I had a client who said the same thing about their old wiring. They called it "vintage charm" until a socket sparked and scorched the wall. I made them check every outlet that week. Found two more with cracked plates and loose connections. It's never a problem until you're smelling smoke.

inA senior guy told me my car top clearance check was sloppy and it stuck with me
Had a foreman drill into me to always check lug nut torque with a torque wrench, never just an impact. It seemed like extra work until I saw a wheel come loose. Now that click is the best sound in the shop.

inAppreciation post: A snapped cambium saver rope taught me a quick field fix
Hold up, you were 25 feet up when that thing popped? That sound alone would have made my heart stop. I'm just picturing that moment, hanging there with a busted sheath. The fact you kept your cool enough to tie a double fisherman's bend while dangling is wild to me. Good quick thinking getting down on your own line.
