My coworker Dave swore the air fryer could do frozen pizza better than the oven

Dave in accounting told me to throw a frozen mini pizza in the air fryer at 400 degrees for 6 minutes. It came out with the cheese burnt to a crisp and the crust still half frozen. Anyone else tried air fryer pizza and ended up with a mess?

Burnt to a crisp and half frozen" sounds like you need better timing, not a different appliance.

Come on now, microwaves are notoriously uneven. You can follow the timing perfectly and still end up with a cold center and rubbery edges on something like a burrito. The real problem is the way they heat - they don't cook from the outside in, they create random hot spots. A toaster oven or air fryer gives you way more control over the actual temperature and airflow. Sometimes you just need to admit the tool itself is flawed for certain foods.
