Vent: My neighbor's comment about frozen fries got me rethinking my whole air fryer game

I was chatting with my neighbor, Karen, yesterday and she said she never buys frozen fries anymore because she can make better ones from a single russet potato in 15 minutes. I tried it tonight, cut one potato into sticks, tossed them with a tablespoon of oil and some salt, and air fried at 380 for 12 minutes, shaking halfway. They were way crispier than any bag I've bought. Has anyone else ditched the frozen stuff for homemade versions of other foods?

Totally get the lazy thing, but the homemade ones are so much better it's worth the extra five minutes. Frozen fries just taste like freezer burn now.
