inMy homemade sourdough starter died after I left it on the counter during that heatwave
Did you try giving Betty a little funeral or just dump her straight in the trash lol? Honestly though, once they get that gray liquid and the acetone smell, it's pretty much game over. I've killed two starters myself doing exactly this, and no amount of extra feeding brought them back. The heat basically cooks the yeast and good bacteria, and the hooch is just their sad little ghost saying goodbye. Save yourself the trouble and start a new one, just ditch the name Betty this time so you don't get too attached again lmao.

inTIL a stair wrap technique that saved me 3 hours
Betches how the simplest tricks are always the ones we miss for years.

inWarning: My sous vide steak came out tasting like a boiled sponge
Buddy of mine did the exact same thing. Spent like 4 hours on a ribeye, took it straight from the bag to the cast iron. Ended up with a gray, steamed mess.

inShoutout to the blow-dry brush with the metal core I found at a supply shop in Phoenix
...and here I am with yet another random Amazon purchase that somehow works better than the stuff I spent real money on at the beauty store. I picked up a knockoff hot brush from a weird little kiosk at the mall once. It had some kind of weird textured barrel that somehow grabbed my fine hair without frying it. Still use it two years later. My expensive brand ones are sitting in a drawer collecting dust.

inTook me three hours to level a Liebherr LTM 1050 on a slope in Tulsa
Are you really saying it's worth burning half a shift on setup every time? Some days the clock matters more than perfection, especially when the boss is breathing down your neck.
