Am I the only one who learns more from family installations than paid jobs?

They ask the real questions that clients often don't.

What kind of questions do they ask that makes the difference? Like the "why does it work that way" stuff clients never say?

Ask what bugs them every day, you'll hear what they never say.

Wait a second, I've seen that asking about daily annoyances doesn't always uncover hidden truths. People often share safe, surface-level gripes because they're embarrassed or don't want to rock the boat. For example, a teammate might complain about the thermostat being too cold but never admit they dread pointless meetings. A customer could say they hate slow loading screens but not confess they find the whole software confusing. Those everyday bugs might just be distractions, while the real issues stay buried. So you might end up with a list of minor fixes and miss the silent big problems.
