Bought a $19 wire fisher at a flea market in Amarillo, and it out-pulled my $90 rod kit
I picked up a used wire fisher at a flea market in Amarillo for 19 bucks, mostly as a joke. My rod kit cost 90 and got stuck in the same insulated wall twice that same afternoon, while the cheap fisher slid through the first try. It pulled two runs of 22/4 through packed insulation in about 10 minutes. The plastic handle cracked by the third job, so it saved me once and then quit. Anyone got a cheap tool that beat your good stuff, and did it actually last?
