False alarms from a wireless install in a brick building shook my confidence
I put in a wireless alarm system for a local shop, and it kept going off for no reason. Everyone talks up wireless for easy jobs, but this mess has me leaning back to old school wired setups. How do you handle signal issues in tough buildings?

Brick walls versus radio waves wasn't a fair fight.

So, what does that say about my wifi signal at home? My walls seem to eat radio waves for breakfast, according to @matthews21's logic. I guess some of us are just born to be signal blockers.

Tell me about it. My own body must be lined with lead or something. Walk five feet from the router and my phone drops to one bar. I swear, if wifi signals were bullets, I'd be wearing a full suit of armor made out of my own bad luck. The router probably sees me coming and just gives up.
