Ran Cat6 for 12 cameras instead of using the old coax and the picture difference is unreal
Just finished a 12 camera job in a warehouse off Route 9 and I want to celebrate a bit. The place had old RG59 coax run back in like 2008 and the owner wanted to keep it to save money, but I pushed for new Cat6 runs. I told him I'd do 4 cameras on the old coax and 8 on Cat6 so he could see the difference side by side. Man, it was night and day, the coax ones went soft and grainy the second the lights dropped while the Cat6 stayed sharp as hell. He called me the next morning and said run the other four on Cat6 too. Has anyone else had a customer fight them on rewiring until they saw the two feeds next to each other?
