Shoutout to my old mentor for being dead wrong about refrigerator compressors
He swore you never replace a compressor on a 5 year old fridge, just swap the whole unit. Last month I did one on a 2019 Samsung for $150 in parts and it's been running perfect for 6 weeks. Has anyone else had luck doing compressor swaps on fridges that supposedly aren't worth fixing?
Hey, that's awesome you proved him wrong. It's really frustrating when people act like stuff is totally dead when you can actually fix it. Happy to hear your repair is holding up so well.
Yeah exactly, people act like if it's not brand new it's worthless. I fixed a pair of headphones last week that everyone told me to just throw out and they sound perfect now after resoldering one wire.
