Just got back from a dig site in New Mexico and the change was wild

We started mapping this area six months ago and it was just a flat, empty patch of dirt. After careful digging and sifting, we found a whole set of pueblo-style house floors and a bunch of pottery pieces. The team lead said we uncovered more in one season than the last group did in three. Has anyone else worked on a site that just opened up like that all of a sudden?

Right? I had that happen last week and it felt like winning the lottery. The timing has to be just perfect for it to work out. Makes the whole search worth it.
