Update: I was recording dig depths wrong for two seasons
Been helping on a Roman villa site outside Bath for two summers. Last month a grad student watched me log a context and asked why my depths were all 10 cm off from the datum point. Turns out I'd been reading the staff from the wrong side of the bubble the whole time. I rechecked my old field notes from 2023 and found 14 contexts with the same error. How do you all double check depths in the field without slowing everyone down?
