He finally taped a sheet to the toolbox and wrote down every value, the wrench setting, the day, and who did it. About three weeks in they pulled a wheel and the log showed the torque was right, so they dug deeper and found the nut had been cross threaded by somebody rushing. Saved the kid from getting blamed for something he didn't do and shut the old timer up at the same time. Twenty seconds of pen work beats an hour of yelling every time.
