Went on my first dig at a Roman site near Bath and found a coin on day 2, now I'm hooked but unsure where to go next
Last month I joined a local archaeology group for a two week dig at a Roman villa site near Bath and on the second day I pulled up a bronze coin about the size of my thumbnail. The feeling of holding something that someone dropped almost 2,000 years ago hit me way harder than I expected, and I've been reading everything I can find since then. For those of you who started as volunteers, what's the best way to get more involved without a degree in the field?
