PSA: I think the 'ask anything' rule gets taken too far sometimes
Last week in this group, someone asked for detailed medical advice about a skin rash. I mean, come on. Three years ago when I joined, it felt more like a place for curious questions about how stuff works or weird history facts. Now, I see posts where people are basically asking for free therapy or legal help, which feels risky. Just last month, a user posted their full budget asking for investment tips, which is a huge personal info dump. I get the name is 'ask anything', but maybe there should be a soft line about things that need a real pro. It puts other users in a bad spot to give advice on serious stuff. Has anyone else felt uncomfortable when a question here seems way too big for a forum?

Oh man, totally. I saw a post last week asking for step by step help fixing a major plumbing leak, like, call a plumber right now! It's scary because someone might follow bad advice and flood their house. The vibe has really changed from fun questions to people treating it like a free hotline for experts.

Tell me about it. I saw someone asking how to rewire their whole kitchen yesterday. That's not a DIY project, that's how you burn your house down. People forget this is just a forum with random people typing. It feels like they want free professional help without the bill. The worst part is someone will actually try it based on a few comments from strangers. It's a real problem.

My buddy's neighbor tried that and fried his microwave.
