Just realized the guy next to me at the Grand Canyon star party was right about focusing live view at 10x before every single frame | Astronomy Photos - Opinions Matter
So what happens when you're shooting a fast moving target like the ISS passing over or a meteor shower and you stop to zoom to 10x between every single frame? You'll miss half your shots fiddling with the buttons while the sky moves on without you. I get it for long exposures where focus drift can wreck a stack, but claiming it's needed before every frame is overkill and slows you down. Set it once, check it every few shots or after a big temp swing, and spend the rest of the night actually looking up.
