Hit 300 transmission fluid changes on my lift and the number that shocked me was the drain plug washers
I do a lot of trans services at my shop in Toledo and last week I finally counted up all the tickets since I opened. 300 flushes and filter jobs in 4 years. The thing that got me was I only bought 12 of those little aluminum crush washers in bulk, but somehow I keep finding old ones in the drain pan drawer. I started keeping a notebook of which cars come back with seeps and it turns out it's almost always the ones where I reused a washer. Now I just charge the two bucks and swap it every time. Any of you got a cheap part you used to skip that ended up biting you later?
