TIL my box wrench is 11 years old, hit the 10k job mark with it

Was flattening some old invoices and counted the ones tagged from when I started my own shop. 10,200 jobs but this one Snap-on 15mm box wrench has been with me through all of them. The laser etching wore off around year 4, and the chrome is pitted from brake clean. Went to use it today on a lower control arm bolt, and it slipped once, which got me thinking about how many cycles a tool can take before you gotta retire it. Anyone else keep a beater wrench that's way past its prime but you still trust it?

Is 10k really the breaking point though, or is it just the first slip that got in your head? Ive got a Craftsman that lost its teeth two years ago and still beats on rusty bolts every weekend, just with a cheater bar. Tools dont owe you anything at that age, they just show you where your limits actually are.
