Can we talk about how I stopped using a meter on connector pins and it made me feel dumb
I used to pull out the Fluke 87V for every single pin on a cannon plug, even the ones I could eyeball from a foot away. Last month a guy named Ray at our hangar in Wichita watched me do it on a nose gear harness and said, "you're gonna wear out the connector before you find the fault." He showed me how to do a simple tug test and a wiggle check first, and I found the broken pin in about two minutes instead of twenty. Now I only grab the meter when the visual and tug checks come up clean, and my hands are way less tired at the end of a shift. Has anyone else made that switch, or do you still meter every pin on principle?
