The time I accidentally showed up to a coffee date in my old high school uniform

This was back in 2016, right after I graduated. I had this bright idea to meet a girl at a Starbucks near my old school because I was nostalgic. I forgot I was wearing my old cheerleading jacket from sophomore year with the school logo on it. She laughed so hard when she saw me, and I just turned bright red trying to explain it was laundry day. Now I always double check my outfit before I leave, even if it's just a quick errand. Have you ever worn something super embarrassing without realizing it on a date?

The cheerleading jacket is a classic though honestly. That's not even that bad. I wore a full on cosplay wig to a coffee date once. Forgot I had it in my bag from a con the day before, put it on thinking it was my beanie. She walked in and I'm sitting there with blue hair down to my shoulders.

Oh man, that cosplay wig story is gold! I once wore my work badge to a meetup with someone I matched with online. It was one of those lanyards with my giant ID photo staring out, and I didn't realize until we sat down and she pointed at it. The photo was from my first week, so my hair was a mess and I had this deer-in-headlights look. I just froze for a second then blurted out something about needing it for the security door at my building. She was nice about it but I think she saw more of my awkward side than I planned that day.
