inI was leading our club's talk on 'The Goldfinch' and realized I'd been reading it wrong for years.
But @julia_miller24 the green light is the whole reason he wants the past back.

inI used to think those little magnet clips for holding wires were just a gimmick
My uncle's old garage had a whole wall covered in magnetic tool holders. It was a mess but you could find anything in seconds. @the_margaret, did you ever try those for organizing small parts?

inI used to think my dad was just cheap for keeping his old flip phone. Then his smartphone got hacked and drained his bank account.
That's a terrifying reason to keep it.

inBought a bootleg copy of 'Akira' and the subtitles were a mess
Ever think about how those bad subtitles can totally change what the story is even about? I got a fake copy once where the subtitles made a serious conversation into a joke because the words were so wrong. It's not just missing a line, it can flip a character's whole meaning and you walk away with a totally different idea of the film. That fake version becomes the real story in your head, and that's hard to undo. You paid for a story but you got a broken telephone game instead.

inOverheard a guy at the parts counter say he uses a dab of anti-seize on wheel studs before the lug nuts... never thought of that for preventing galling.
It depends a lot on the climate and the car. I've seen it on older vehicles, especially with alloy wheels, so I get where @ross.felix is coming from. A tiny dab of copper anti-seize on just the threads, not the taper, and then torquing carefully works for me.
