Had to pick between guest post outreach and niche edits for my client in Atlanta

I spent a month deciding between spending $500 on guest posts on mom blogs or $500 on niche edits on real estate sites for a home inspector client. I went with the niche edits because the traffic felt more targeted, but 3 weeks in and I've only secured 2 links. Anyone else find niche edits harder to land than they expected?

My buddy runs a landscaping company and he tried niche edits for 6 months. He got 4 links total and was SO frustrated because the site owners either never replied or wanted triple the price after agreeing.

Blame the site owners not the strategy itself. People always skip the research part and just email random blogs thinking it will work. @rileynelson I bet your buddy was reaching out to sites that weren't actually a good fit for landscaping content. You gotta find sites that already link to competitors or have a related audience. Also cold emailing without any relationship building is a ticket to getting ghosted or price gouged.
