Found a 2 mile shortcut on the Eagle Creek loop in Oregon that skips the crowded falls section

Last month I cut across the old powerline trail just past Tunnel Falls instead of following the main path down, and it saved me an hour of dodging day hikers, so has anyone else found sneaky connector trails that aren't on the maps?
