My map reading mistake in the Sawtooths cost me a whole afternoon

I misread the contour lines near Thompson Peak and ended up bushwhacking for 3 hours before finding the actual trail. Has anyone else had a similar navigation hiccup in that range?

Oh man, I saw a trip report that said the west ridge is a total slog right now. @the_morgan might be a masochist lol.
