Spent $120 on a SteriPEN for the JMT and it died on day 2, but my buddy's $8 Aquamira drops never quit
Half of me says filters are worth every penny for speed and taste, the other half says chemicals never break, so what do you actually carry on a 10 day trip?

Chemicals never break is the whole point, why risk a dead filter on day 3.
